BIOGRAPHIES:
Claire
Marshall - Choreographer & Performer
BIOGRAPHY:
Claire's areas of choreographic interest include commercial genres,
choreography for the stage, for film/video as well as contemporary dance.
Her
aim is to work as a choreographer fusing two specific genres of; popular
culture, "commercial" dance with more "high art",
contemporary dance.
Claire
intends to continue to pursue her career in dance, taking
choreography to new heights.
BIOGRAPHICAL
DETAILS:
In
May 2000, Claire's "big break" came when she choreographed the
Savage
Garden Affirmation World Tour which showcased her choreography throughout
Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia for
the
duration of 2000.
In
September 2000, Claire was commissioned to choreograph a piece for the
Pre-Olympic Sports Medicine Congress at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
In
1999 and 2000 Claire's work was included in QUT's New Moves program, and
in the CSTD's annual convention at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex.
In addition, Claire was the only choreographer selected to have her work
featured in QPAC's Stage X Festival "Freakshow '99"
Claire
has choreographed for numerous Queensland College of Art film
graduate films and film clips. In April 2000, her work was featured in
the
Pacific Film and Television Festival multi award winning film, "Ace".
In
October, Claire initiated, produced, choreographed, and costumed a dance
based production, titled "Fuse". Fuse incorporated a collaboration
of arts
and mediums.
Claire
has choreographed numerous pieces for dance schools over the years.
Claire was the recipient of the CSTD Choreographic Competition's
Professional Choreographer Award for every year that she entered (1993
to
1997).
Claire's
goal is to continue her career in dance, taking choreography to new
heights.
DANCE
EDUCATION
At
the conclusion of 2000, Claire graduated from the Queensland University
of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. During her course, Claire
pursued her passion for choreography, taking Advanced Composition as her
major in final year.
Whilst
at QUT, Claire's outstanding achievements in choreography led her to
stage 3 independent productions which she choreographed, performed in,
produced, financed, promoted and costumed herself. Claire's interest in
popular culture was pursued further taking subjects such as "Sex
Drugs and
Rock 'n' Roll; the Interaction of Society and Music" as well as film
and
media subjects.
In
late 2000, Claire spent 5 weeks in New York undertaking classes as the
Merce Cunningham studios, Martha Graham School, José Limon School,
and at
the Trisha Brown company studios. Whilst in New York Claire observed
classes at the TISCH School of the Arts.
Pervious
to her entry to QUT, Claire completed her Commonwealth Society of
Teachers of Dancing diploma in 1996.
Claire
has advanced skills in unique costume design and creation, designing
and making original costumes for most of her work. In addition, Claire
has
developed her skills doing hair and innovative make up for stage.

Profile
Dimity is a creative and yet logical thinker, with a particular passion
towards the culmination of the arts and technology. She is aware of new
and evolving technologies, and is constantly researching innovative and
exciting ways to take advantage of this new digital medium that is fast
becoming a major part of our society. She will bring my passion and creative
thinking to any project that attempts to make art, science and technology
more accessible to the community. Dimity's extensive technical knowledge
of the Internet and Computers enables her to merge initial concepts with
physical possibilities very successfully. Her overall aim is to educate
the general public in the amazing possibilities which are placed before
us in this world of digital media.

Static and Interactive Exhibits
Dimity's passion and skill in the arts has led to the undertaking of a
broad range of exhibits. In static art, Dimity manipulates the tools of
new media, using the computer as her easel and the programs as her paintbrush
to create inspiring and emotional works portraying the private minds view
of the open world around us. Dimity has furthered the challenge to our
perception in taking her art from a static to interactive form. Program
intensive exhibits have brought the concept of multimedia to life in a
tangible and experiential realm.
Tyrone
Noonan - Audio
Tyrone is a Brisbane-based musician/composer/producer/DJ/performer.
He has been playing in bands since the late 80s. During the early 90s
Tyrone also played with several folk, pop and rock groups in Europe and
Ireland. Tyrone currently performs with Brisbane band george,
jazz
trio Palimpseste and produces music and events under the banner of Frontal
Lobe Productions.
